| *PASSION AND STYLE -- (Darla Anita x John Peat) (F2) Sev. 7” fl. 29” sc. M 20 buds. When I made the cross of Darla Anita and John Peat, I certainly did not expect an eyed-edged daylily. When I got some, I decided to cross them among themselves. What I got was the large size, heavy ruffling and gold edge that I expected from these two parents, but on a large, round eyed - edged flower. What a delightful surprise. The flowers of Passion and Style have a lavender rose base with a large purple eye and edge, surrounded by an orange gold edge. The blooms are beautifully formed with very wide, round petals. At the center of the flower is a deep green throat. |
