When I made this cross, I was trying to combine the wonderful ornately gold edges of Alexa Katherine with the taller scapes and deep, rich purple color of Collective Spirit. I could not have asked for a more wonderful combination of these two parents. Rachel Klee is a deeply saturated, clear purple flower with ruffled gold edges. At the center of the flower is a green throat, surrounded by a lighter watermark. The nicely ruffled gold edges rarely, if ever hang. The flowers are presented on tall, stately scapes. A beautiful addition to the purple color range. |
