saturation of color best describes these flowers. The base color
is a burgundy red with a deep black purple velvet eye. The eye
color continues as an even darker, almost pitch black picotee around
the flower. At the center of the flower is a deep green
throat. These extremely richly colored flowers look like they are
painted on plush velvet. The velvet eye is very large covering
much of the petal surface. The rich, dark, saturated colors are
like a beacon across the garden.
