Prisoner of Time

PRISONER OF TIME --  [(Smoke Shadows x Gilded Butterfly) x Gift of Mischief] x (Bewitching Eyes) Sev. 5.5” fl. 29” sc. M 15-20 buds.  I never thought that blue violet eyes would work well on an orange base.  At least not until I saw Prisoner of Time.  These mango to tangerine flowers have a deep green throat that extends far out on the petal surface before reaching a patterned eye of blue violet surrounded by a burgundy mascara band.  The petals curl up at the center of the flower, revealing the pattern repeated on the sepals and petal edges.  The flowers are presented on tall scapes.
